With proper notice, your registration may be transferred or rescheduled to another available eligible cooking class within 30 days, subject to availability.

No refunds, credits, transfers, or reschedules will be provided for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled class.

Adult cooking class registrations are transferable. If you are unable to attend, you may send another eligible participant in your place. Please notify us of the participant change prior to the class whenever possible.

PRIVATE PARTIES, KIDS’ PARTIES, FIELD TRIPS & TEAM-BUILDING EVENTS

Minimum participant requirements still apply if fewer guests attend than the minimum required for the selected package.

MOBILE EVENT LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

Cooking with a Twist is a mobile cooking experience. The customer or host is responsible for providing an appropriate location for the scheduled class or event.

Depending on the selected menu, the location may need to provide:

• Adequate tables and work surfaces
• Access to running water
• Electricity
• Seating, when applicable
• Refrigerator access, when required
• Oven and/or stovetop access, when required
• A clean, safe, and suitable environment for food preparation and cooking

Specific location requirements will be discussed prior to your event based on the menu and type of cooking experience selected.

Cooking with a Twist reserves the right to decline or discontinue an event if the location is determined to be unsafe or unsuitable for the scheduled cooking activities.

TRAVEL & MOBILE SERVICE FEES

A Mobile Service & Setup Fee applies to mobile events and covers transportation of equipment and supplies, loading, unloading, setup, breakdown, and local travel.

Additional travel fees may apply to locations outside our standard service area.

Any applicable travel charges will be communicated before your event is confirmed.

WEATHER & UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

Cooking with a Twist events are held rain or shine unless weather conditions make travel or the scheduled cooking experience unsafe.

If severe weather, dangerous road conditions, power outages, venue closures, or another circumstance beyond our control prevents an event from safely taking place, we will work with you to reschedule the event to another available date.

Weather-related cancellations do not automatically qualify for a refund.

If Cooking with a Twist must cancel a class or event due to circumstances within our control, participants will be notified and may be offered a rescheduled date, class credit, or refund, when applicable.

ADULT COOKING CLASSES

Unless otherwise stated, children under the age of 10 may not participate in an Adult Cooking Class.

Children ages 10 and older may participate with a registered parent or guardian. Both the child and accompanying adult must be registered and paid participants.

Please keep in mind that designated Adult Cooking Classes may be BYOB, and alcoholic beverages may be present.

Infants, toddlers, and children under age 10 should not attend Adult Cooking Classes unless the event has specifically been designated as a family-friendly experience.

KIDS’ COOKING PARTIES

Kids’ Birthday Parties and Kids’ Cooking Experiences are designed specifically for children within the advertised age range.

Adults are responsible for providing appropriate supervision but are not considered cooking participants unless an adult participation option has been arranged in advance.

If adults would like to cook alongside the children, please inquire about one of our Private Cooking Experiences, which can be customized for both adults and children.

PARTICIPANTS & GUESTS

Only registered or paid participants may take part in the hands-on cooking experience.

Parents, guardians, teachers, chaperones, or other adults required to supervise children may remain at the event without participating in the cooking activities.

Additional guests who wish to participate must be added to the event and any applicable participant fee must be paid.

PROMOTIONS & PRICE ADJUSTMENTS

Promotional offers, discounts, and special pricing cannot be combined unless specifically stated.

Price adjustments on qualifying full-priced cooking classes will only be considered when requested by email within 2 days of the original purchase date.

Promotional, discounted, private-event, and specially priced packages are not eligible for retroactive price adjustments unless otherwise stated.

FOOD ALLERGIES, DIETARY RESTRICTIONS & PARTICIPANT SAFETY

The safety of our guests is important to Cooking with a Twist. Because our cooking experiences involve shared ingredients, equipment, utensils, preparation areas, and third-party locations, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

ALLERGIES & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Customers are responsible for notifying Cooking with a Twist of any known food allergies, dietary restrictions, or special food-related needs before the scheduled class or event.

For private parties, kids’ parties, field trips, team-building events, and other group experiences, the person booking the event is responsible for communicating with participants, parents, or guardians regarding food allergies and dietary restrictions and providing that information to Cooking with a Twist.

Depending on the selected recipes and the nature of the allergy or dietary restriction, we may be able to recommend substitutions or alternative menu selections. Not all recipes or cooking experiences can be modified to accommodate every allergy or dietary restriction.

Our classes may use or come into contact with common food allergens, including but not limited to:

• Peanuts and tree nuts
• Milk and dairy products
• Eggs
• Wheat and gluten-containing ingredients
• Soy
• Fish
• Shellfish
• Sesame

Ingredients may also be manufactured or processed in facilities that handle common allergens.

Guests with severe or life-threatening food allergies should contact Cooking with a Twist before registering or booking an event so we can discuss whether the selected cooking experience can be safely accommodated.

MOBILE LOCATION & CROSS-CONTACT

Because Cooking with a Twist provides services in private homes, schools, businesses, community spaces, event venues, and other third-party locations, we cannot control or guarantee the allergen history, sanitation practices, equipment, surfaces, appliances, or ingredients already present at the host location.

Although reasonable food-safety practices are followed during our cooking activities, cross-contact with allergens may occur.

Hosts are responsible for informing us of any known food-safety concerns or allergen risks at the event location before the cooking experience begins.

CHILDREN & PARTICIPANT SAFETY

Parents, guardians, teachers, chaperones, and event organizers are responsible for informing Cooking with a Twist of any allergy or dietary restriction affecting a minor participant.

Appropriate adult supervision is required for children’s cooking classes, birthday parties, field trips, and group events.

Cooking activities may involve knives, cooking utensils, hot surfaces, electrical appliances, ovens, stovetops, and other kitchen equipment. Participants are expected to follow all safety instructions provided by Cooking with a Twist instructors.

For safety reasons, Cooking with a Twist reserves the right to limit a participant’s involvement in a particular cooking activity when necessary.

MEDICAL & EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Cooking with a Twist does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical supervision.

Participants with severe allergies or medical conditions requiring emergency medication, including epinephrine auto-injectors, are responsible for having their necessary medication available and for ensuring that an appropriate parent, guardian, caregiver, or responsible adult is present when needed.

In the event of a medical emergency, emergency services may be contacted.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Participation in a hands-on cooking experience involves inherent risks associated with food preparation and cooking, including but not limited to cuts, burns, slips, allergic reactions, food sensitivities, and contact with hot surfaces or cooking equipment.

By registering for or participating in a Cooking with a Twist class or event, participants—or the parent or legal guardian of a minor participant—acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to follow the safety instructions provided by Cooking with a Twist.

Cooking with a Twist is not responsible for allergic reactions or other adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed allergies or dietary restrictions, ingredients or conditions outside our reasonable control, or allergens already present at a third-party event location, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you have questions about ingredients, allergens, dietary restrictions, or whether a particular cooking experience is appropriate for you or your child, please contact Cooking with a Twist before registering or booking your event.

Your safety helps us create a fun, enjoyable, and memorable cooking experience for everyone!
